The treatment

Exfoliation, selected

Exfoliation selected for your skin—not a preset protocol.

Chemical peels use a provider-selected topical solution to support a more refined skin-renewal plan. Formulation, preparation, and downtime are based on your skin profile, goals, and current routine.

What it is

A chemical peel uses a provider-selected topical solution to create controlled exfoliation and support a more even, refreshed skin surface.

How it works

Formulation and depth are selected for the skin type, concern, current routine, pigment risk, and acceptable recovery. A light peel and a deeper peel do not share the same preparation or downtime.

Peel selection follows skin assessment and a clear recovery conversation.

This page is educational and does not determine individual candidacy. A medical consultation is required before treatment planning.

Appointment guidance

Primary source · American Academy of Dermatology patient guidance

Prepare thoughtfully. Recover with clear direction.

01

Before your visit

  • Your provider determines peel type and depth after reviewing skin history, current products, medicines, recent procedures, and pigment-risk considerations.
  • Some patients may be given a pre-peel skincare plan for two to four weeks; use only the plan your provider gives you.
  • Avoid tanning and disclose active irritation, infection, cold-sore history, pregnancy or nursing, and any recent prescription skin treatment.
02

After your visit

  • Use lotion, cream, or ointment exactly as directed and protect healing skin from sun exposure.
  • Do not scratch, rub, or pick peeling skin, and do not use tanning beds.
  • Makeup timing, cleansing, actives, and follow-up depend on peel depth; follow Elite’s individualized written instructions.
03

What you may notice

  • Redness, scaling, and healing time vary substantially with peel depth and individual skin response.
  • A light or refreshing peel may heal over approximately one to seven days; the practice will explain the expected course for the selected peel.
  • Results are assessed after the skin heals, and any repeat schedule is determined by the provider.

When to contact the practice

Contact Elite if treated skin burns, itches, swells, shows infection signs, or heals differently than the instructions provided. Seek urgent help for a severe allergic reaction or other emergency symptoms.

What it may address

Start with your concern, not a trend.

01

Uneven skin texture

02

Dull or tired-looking skin

03

Appearance of fine lines

04

Visible signs of sun exposure

What to expect

Redness, tightness, scaling, or peeling vary substantially by peel depth. The exact recovery plan, makeup timing, and skincare restrictions are reviewed before treatment.

01

Before treatment

Some patients may receive a short preparation routine based on the selected peel.

02

Early recovery

Redness or scaling can occur; a light peel may heal over approximately one to seven days.

03

After healing

Texture and tone are evaluated once the skin has recovered.

04

Next treatment

Repeat timing depends on peel depth, response, and the broader skin plan.

Who it may fit

Candidacy is individual.

The provider reviews skin type and tone, active irritation or infection, pigment history, medicines, pregnancy or nursing, cold-sore history, recent procedures, and prescription skincare.
